Story

Burginos is more than just a food venture—it is the result of one man’s empathy, vision, and expertise. That man is Kartik Bharadwaj Shukla, a highly analytical and finance-driven entrepreneur from Kanpur, who once experienced a moment that changed his life. After a long day at work, Kartik offered a warm meal to a tired delivery boy who was drenched in rain. The boy smiled and said, “Sir, I deliver food all day… but I can’t afford to eat anything clean or fresh myself.” Those words revealed a deep truth—while food might be everywhere, good, clean, and affordable food is still out of reach for many.

That night, the idea of Burginos was born—not as just a burger brand, but as a movement to bridge the gap between food accessibility and quality. Kartik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce & Finance from CSJMU Kanpur University and has earned professional certifications in Financial Modeling and Analysis from UpGrad Campus. With his strong background in finance and business, he saw an opportunity: What if burgers could be made wholesome, hygienic, affordable, and available right on the street for everyone?

Kartik used his skills in financial strategy to validate and scale his vision. During his internship at Brevity Learning Services Pvt. Ltd., he successfully led cost optimization strategies—cutting operational expenses by 15% and increasing profitability by 10%. His work developing detailed P&L ratio analysis reports for KTC Ltd. improved reporting accuracy by 25%, while his DCF valuation model for NFH projected a potential ROI of 15%. These achievements demonstrate his ability to turn numbers into impact.

Kartik is well-versed in financial forecasting, ratio analysis, sensitivity modeling, and scalable planning—capabilities he has applied in launching Burginos. He understands that the Indian Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) market is projected to reach $38.71 billion by 2029, yet most fast-food options remain out of reach for people in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities. Burginos is addressing that gap. The burgers are made with fresh ingredients and offer whole wheat bun options, catering to both taste and health-conscious customers. What makes Burginos unique is its street stall model—low-cost, high-footfall stalls located in areas like Swaroop Nagar, Kakadev, and Motijheel in Kanpur. These stalls are backed by a central kitchen and built to be franchise-ready, making them scalable across other cities.

Now, Kartik is raising ₹4 lakhs to expand Burginos and bring hygienic food to more people. The funds will be used for stall expansion (₹2 lakhs)marketing and branding (₹50,000)kitchen equipment and raw materials for 7 months (₹1 lakh), and employee salaries for 5 months (₹50,000).

Your contribution will not only empower a financially skilled and socially conscious entrepreneur but also help build a healthier, happier food culture on India’s streets. Support Burginos and be part of a mission where every burger sold feeds not just hunger—but dignity and opportunity.
